Frequently Asked Questions

General Information

An Abacus is an ancient calculation tool featuring beads sliding on rods. In our program, it serves as a powerful brain-training instrument. By learning to manipulate the beads physically and mentally, children develop extraordinary calculation speed, concentration, and visualization skills.

The ideal age to start is between 4 and 6 years old. During this period, a child's brain development is at its peak, making it easier for them to absorb visualization techniques and build strong neural pathways. However, older children can also benefit significantly from the program.

Children learn to perform arithmetic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals) with incredible speed and accuracy. Beyond math, they learn crucial cognitive skills: deep concentration, photographic memory, logical reasoning, and supreme self-confidence.

Course Structure & Classes

Our complete program consists of [EDUCUS Total Levels, e.g., 8-10] distinct levels, progressing from foundational bead concepts all the way to advanced mental mathematics.

Each level typically takes [EDUCUS Duration, e.g., 3-6 months] to complete, depending on the child's age, practice consistency, and individual learning pace.

Classes are generally held [EDUCUS Frequency, e.g., once or twice a week] for [EDUCUS Class Length, e.g., 1 to 2 hours] per session to ensure steady progress without overwhelming the child.

Yes, we offer fully interactive online classes led by our certified instructors, allowing children to learn comfortably and safely from home.

Yes, we have physical centers equipped with child-friendly classroom environments for those who prefer traditional, in-person instruction.

Requirements & Progress

Yes, a standard 17-rod physical student Abacus is provided upon enrollment. It is essential for the initial stages of the learning journey before the child transitions to pure mental calculation.

Absolutely. Consistent, daily practice for just 10-15 minutes is crucial. This repetition is what builds the speed, accuracy, and strong mental visualization pathways.

Yes, structured assessments are conducted at the end of each level to ensure the child has mastered the required skills before advancing to the next stage.

Yes, upon successful completion of each level and passing the assessment, the child is awarded a verified EDUCUS Abacus achievement certificate.

Parents receive regular progress reports, and we host routine parent-teacher meetings. We also invite parents to sit in on specific demonstration classes to witness their child's growth firsthand.
